Microsoft stressed on Monday how it plans to combine Azure cloud services with Windows 10 to become more IoT players.

The company introduced Azure IoT Suite, a cloud service at the convergence conference in Atlanta, to enable billing monitoring and analysis for IoT deployments. The IoT kit will be available in a preview later this year.
The power of IoT and big data
We delved into where the Internet of Things will have the biggest impact and what it means for the future of big data analytics.
According to Microsoft, Azure IoT Suite will provide tools that cover a variety of use cases including predictive maintenance and asset management. Azure Stream analysis will be available as part of the suite next month.
Microsoft's gaming plan is key to using Azure as an enterprise IoT deployment. Rockwell Automation is being emphasized as a customer, aiming to bring together a variety of Azure services to manage IoT deployments.
Microsoft also said that it will provide a Windows 10 version for IoT deployments. The idea is that Windows 10 will be able to use one platform to reach everything from robots to IoT gateways and sensors. CEO Satyana Nadella told corporate customers that Windows 10 will also become the Internet of Things platform.
Putting Azure and Windows 10 together, Microsoft clearly wants to be the glue for IoT deployment. If successful, Microsoft will be able to get rid of Windows' desktop-dependent deployment and highlight a bright spot in mobile device strategy that has not yet been launched and invested in IoT.
Orders of growth.
In April of this year, Microsoft previewed an Azure service designed to manage and capture machine data.
