On October 23, Huawei held a press conference in China. Three pieces of information were disclosed. The first is a number: Since the beginning of the year, 200 million smartphone brands have been sold, Huawei and glory. Despite the embargo imposed by the United States,Huawei is still expected to reach this number two months before 2018. This clearly indicates good results in market research.
However, as we know in our article on Huawei's third quarter results for 2019, this sharp rise will certainly come at the expense of average selling prices. Indeed, analysts believe that in order to ensure such a quantity, Huawei certainly lowers the price of distributors to increase purchases. However, it is guaranteed to achieve the desired results: showing a quiet face and beautiful people facing the test.
Mate X will arrive in China on November 15th
Regarding Huawei's second news, Mate X finally arrived at the store's booth. Of course, the first country involved is China. Mate X will be available on November 15. It should be remembered that the initial listing date is set to May. Huawei's first flexible screen smartphone has been six months late. It is almost the time Samsung needs to correct its Galaxy Fold.
If you go to the Chinese version of Vmall (a joint store closed by Huawei and Honor in France), you will find that the final price of Mate X is: $16,999. It is about 2,150 euros. Our price is entirely within the price range specified by the manufacturer when it was first officially released in February last year. 5G version planned for launch in early 2020
However, there are rumors that Huawei plans to integrate its new Kirin 990 (currently available in the Mate 30 series) in August to compensate for the delay in the phone. This is the case in a later version called Mate Xs. The existence of this version was announced at the conference. This is the third important piece of information to remember. Specifically, it will be the 5G version of the HiSilicon chipset. That's the most powerful feature (not just the connectivity feature).
The second edition of Mate X will be released after the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2020. The price has not yet risen. We still don't know if there will be better technical information on the smartphone (whether in RAM, storage, battery or camera). However, one of the certainty is that the chassis should remain unchanged.
